A New Home, A New Look & A New Focus

Welcome to my new blog home. Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be organizing and posting here as I close down my old blog. Some of the subject matter I’ll rewrite and post (as is appropriate to my new more narrowed focus which will be less of a journal and more article-oriented).

My new focus is reflected in the tagline above. I welcome all comments, feedback and suggestions!

So it is my hope that in the future this will become a comfortable, insightful and USEFUL and place for you to visit!

Abundance. When confronted with a small choice whether to have or have not –one you habitually respond to by acquiring– consciously decide to take the road less traveled. For example, if you are low on eggs and would normally jump in the car to make a special trip, choose instead to go without. Wait until tomorrow when it will be more convenient, when you can pair it with another errand, thereby giving yourself the gift of gas and time today. This is one of my favorite seeds guaranteed to always sprout results. Initially I may feel anxious about going without, but later in the day I never fail to be relieved. I will inevitably find that either there really is no "lack" (ah, a false perception!), or that I just need to use a little creativity to come up with a different option for dinner. Which more often than not turns into welcome and fun twist to the day. Align yourself in small ways with what you want from your life and over time you'll discover the Universe will reflect the same picture back in larger things.
The Rant

A culture of medicine that brandishes its maxim "first, do no harm" as its sword of truth, and then goes on to speak of "iatrogenic events" as an acceptable and inevitable consequence of its actions and procedures, forfeits the right to claim rationality as the foundation for its existence. It is an error of thought so gross as to be equal only to the sputterings of the most pompous of zealots.
